Abuse is not only wrong, it's illegal.

When relationship violence gets extreme, it can be a very scary time for the victim. But they are protected by the law. Victims can obtain restraining orders to keep their abusers away from them.

But there are no guarantees that an abuser won't break the law, so it's still important to do everything in your power to help your friend stay safe.

Rape
