The statistics and figures are especially scary when
we think of them on a personal level. Think of four women
you care about-your mother, sister, girlfriend, and teacher.
Studies show that 1 in 4 women will be abused in their
lifetime.
The dangers of teen dating violence and sexual assault
continue even when the violence has ended. Many survivors
turn to high-risk behaviors, including binge drinking,
cocaine use, suicide attempts, and eating disorders.
It's yet another reason why it's crucial to speak up
before the abuse starts.
