Effects on Society

Survivors of relationship violence, male or female, young or old, will live as a survivors for the rest of their lives. They will be forever affected in some way, thus affecting those who care about them. Abuse and sexual assault are experiences that cannot be erased from life.

It isn't fair, and it shouldn't happen. But it does. Dating violence affects both men and women. It is everyone's issue. Mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, friends, classmates.

If both genders speak out together against relationship violence, change will happen. Men can serve as role models for each other, and talk about this issue together. Women can do the same.
