I don't particularly like David, but we both play in the same band, so we're together more often than I'd like. I started the band, but David is the singer and thinks he knows everything. The only reason I can even tolerate his presence is his girlfriend, Christina, comes to watch us practice or play a show. She is so nice and so pretty, I don't know what they're doing together.

He's such a show-off and always wants to be the center of attention. When we give him a correction, he never listens. He always wants to control what's going on and throws a fit when he doesn't get his way.

We were rehearsing for a show and David came without Christina. He said she was working on a project but she'd be there after she was finished. She didn't show up until late, and when she walked in, he stopped in the middle of the song, grabbed her and yanked her outside. I heard him yelling at her and calling her a dumb slut. "What were doing that you couldn't be here?" She had started to cry. "Were you with somebody else? WHERE WERE YOU?" I started to go outside to say something, but my friend pulled me back. "This isn't about you, it's about them," he said. Two minutes later, they walked back inside. Christina looked shaken and upset, and just sat down without saying a word.

Christina came with David every time after that, and I asked him in class one day if she ever had other things to do. "I can't leave her alone. She'd probably cheat on me." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Christina was too sweet and loyal to ever do anything like that. "Man, you don't even know what a bitch she can be! I have to keep her in line, that's all," he laughed and walked away.

I know the way David treats Christina isn't right, but what right do I have to butt into their business?
